ORGANIZATIONAL RESTRUCTURING AND PERFORMANCE OF PEACE MASS TRANSIT LTD, ENUGU STATE

The study evaluated Organizational restructuring and performance of Peace Mass transit Ltd, Enugu state. The specific objectives were to; examine the relationship between turnaround restructuring and Capacity building and evaluate the relationship between repositioning restructuring and cost reduction of Peace Mass transit Ltd, Enugu state. The area of the study was Enugu state. The organization studied was Peace Mass transit Ltd, Enugu state. The study used the descriptive survey design approach. A total population of Ninety-one (91) management selected staff of the study organisation. The whole population was used as result of small number. Seventy-five (75) staff returned the questionnaire and accurately filled. Data was presented and analyzed by mean score and standard deviation using Likert Scale. The hypotheses were analyzed using Pearson correlation (r) test statistic tool. The findings of study showed that Turnaround restructuring had significant positive relationship with Capacity building (r=.463 <.984, p<.05) and Repositioning restructuring had significant positive relationship with cost reduction of Peace Mass transit Ltd, Emene, Enugu state. (r=.423 <.968, p<.05). The study concluded that turnaround restructuring and repositioning restructuring had significant positive relationship with capacity building and cost reduction of Peace Mass transit Ltd, Emene, Enugu state. The study recommended among others that the internal and external structure of organizations should be continuously evaluated to ensure effective organizational structure, inter-organizational collaborations, group level learning and business level learning to enhance the employee and employer knowledge.
