IMPROVING THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN ENUGU EDUCATION ZONE OF ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

This study was on improving the teaching and learning of entrepreneurial education in secondary schools in Enugu education zone. Two research questions and two null hypotheses were used for the study. The study adopted a survey design. The population for the study was 120 respondents (20 male and 100 females’ entrepreneurial education teachers) in 37 secondary schools in the zone. There was no sampling since the size was manageable. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire developed by the researcher and validated by three experts. The reliability of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha; which yielded an overall reliability index of 0.79. Mean and standard deviation was used in answering research questions while Null hypotheses were tested using t-test. The findings revealed that teachers and government related strategies improve teaching and learning of entrepreneurial education in secondary schools in Enugu education zone. It was recommended that successful entrepreneurs should be involved in planning of secondary schools curriculum. There should employment of more qualified teachers with bias in entrepreneurship.
