Abstract

The study examined the effect of Spatial Distribution of MTN Masts on the Networking Environment of Enugu State, Nigeria. The specific objectives are to, examine the effect of population density on the networking environment and evaluate the effect of urban development on the networking environment of Enugu State, Nigeria. A descriptive cross-sectional research design was adopted for the study. The study adopted a primary source of data. A well structure questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was design in five-point likert scale. The questionnaire results were analyzed in SPSS 28.0 using simple linear regression analysis. The study examines the effect of Spatial Distribution of MTN Masts on the Networking Environment of Enugu State, Nigeria. The result revealed that population density has significant negative effect on the networking environment with a value of a (-28.5%; P=0.001) While urban development has significant positive effect on the networking environment with a value of (12.7%; P<0.001) of Enugu State, Nigeria. The study concluded that spatial distribution of MTN masts in Enugu State, Nigeria, has been found to have a significant impact on the networking environment. The study recommended that MTN should endeavor to develop a comprehensive mast deployment plan that takes into account the varying population densities across different regions of Enugu State.
