Abstract

The study aims to investigate Agricultural extension worker’s use of Media and Social System in Information Dissemination for Rural Women Farmers (RWFs) in North-Eastern Nigeria. A sample size of 384 Rural women farmers was randomly selected using multistage sampling techniques. Structured questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection which was developed by the researcher based on the construct of MSD theory. Reliability of the instrument was established by pilot testing using 30 RWFs at Kaduna State. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (mean and multiple linier regression). The result indicated that, Agricultural extension workers had achieved a low result in terms of information dissemination skills in extension services for Rural women farmers. The study recommended the need for extension organizations to provide a particular attention to information delivery method among Agricultural extension workers
