DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY IN INNOSON TECHNICAL & INDUSTRIAL COMPANY, AND JUHEL NIGERIA LIMITED

Abstract

The study examined the relationship between the relationship between digital transformation and sustainability in manufacturing companies Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited. Specifically, the study examined the relationship between cloud computing and cost reduction in Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited; the relationship between mobile computing and product quality in Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited; the relationship between big data usage and customer satisfaction in Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited. The research employed a survey research design. The population of this study is 287consisted of all 172 management and senior staff of   Innoson Technical and Industrial Company, Emene, Enugu and 115 of Juhel Nigeria Ltd Enugu. Since the population is not large, the entire population completed a structured questionnaire. The result showed that there was significant positive relationship between cloud computing and cost reduction in Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited (Z = 10.54); there was significant positive relationship between mobile computing and product quality in Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited (Z = 9.30); there was significant positive relationship between big data usage and customer satisfaction in Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited (Z = 9.30). The study concluded that there was a positive relationship between digital transformation and sustainability in manufacturing industries like Innoson Technical & Industrial Company, and Juhel Nigeria Limited. It was recommended that manufacturing firms should embrace digital transformation to reap its benefits such as cost reduction, improved product quality and customer satisfaction
