In the context of Nigeria's dynamic socio-political landscape, this research delves into the perspectives of the nation's youth regarding migration and conflict in the era of new media. The study adopts media dependency theory in explaining the rationale behind youth migration amidst socio-economic conflicts in Nigeria. Utilizing qualitative methods, the study seeks to unravel the intricate digital narratives that shape the beliefs and attitudes of Nigerian youths towards migration. By examining the stories shared on online platforms, including social media and forums, the research aims to provide nuanced insights into how personal experiences, challenges, and triumphs related to migration are constructed and disseminated in the digital space. The study also explores the influences, both internal and external, that contribute to the formation of these perspectives, with a specific emphasis on the role played by new media.As Nigeria grapples with historical and contemporary issues related to migration and conflict, understanding the youth's viewpoints becomes imperative for navigating the evolving socio-cultural landscape. This research, therefore, endeavours to contribute to the broader discourse on migration by analysing the impact of digital media on shaping youth attitudes toward migration. The findings are expected to illuminate the complex interplay between technology, youth perspectives, migration, and conflict in Nigeria. The study's insights aim to inform policies and interventions that resonate with the aspirations and concerns of the youth, fostering a more informed and inclusive national dialogue on these critical issues.
