Abstract

Corruption is a social malady, the misappropriation of funds, money laundering, nepotism examination malpractice, etc. It is a product of moral decadence. Today’s society adores wealth not considering its source. Acceptance of paper certificate and not the intelligence of the carrier. Politicians that either buy votes or bribe the Judiciary inorder to emerge winners but lack both good manifesto and leadership skills. The result is the big crack on the wall of development.

Development does not thrive in a world of insincerity. Obviously, Greed has distorted educational structure, pension payment, construction of good roads, industrialization and other infrastructures. Hence incessant death by road users, poor medical facilities, lack of payment of salaries, unemployment and poverty in its totality. The rich gets richer.

However, a stiff penalty for defaulters should be enacted as a law by the legislature; checks and balances that will breed good accountability will undoubtably turn around these issues of life.

(Accountability, Insincerity, Nepotism, Malady, Decadence, Greed, Incessant, Enact, Undoubtably)
