Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system that consists of a receiver and algorithms that synchronizes location, velocity and time. This paper used road defects as case study. GPS and Camera tools were deployed in a mobile smart device for the monitoring of road defects such as bumps, pot holes and other road anomalies in a given axis. This paper develops a trained road anomaly detector for automobiles. With GPS and Camera, the mobile outlet of this research has been trained to study, identify and record defects on a road surface
